Yee-haw, Ya'll

Going on my second week in Texas. I am planning to go to a concert with Amy and Michael on Saturday, so I figured I needed some real Texas duds. So, I will now never have to shop for western clothes ever again. I have boots (pink) with a new belt, a pink cowboy hat (from Target) and a real cowgirl shirt with flowers on the back and those cool shiny snaps...I think I might just wear my getup to pick up Michael at the airport on Thurs., just to see if he even recognizes me!

The trip so far has been fun and somewhat productive. I still have a lot to do, but it's getting done, slowly but surely.

Holly's wedding was fun...she was beautiful, of course, and we all had a good time both in the days leading up to the ceremony and the day of the wedding itself. It was also wonderful to see Rebekah and Sara again.

To get from Dallas to Austin, I had to rent a car, so I got to drive a PT Cruiser for two whole days, which was awesome!! What a fun car!

In Austin, I'm staying with Amy, and we've gone shopping, out to eat, and watched movies. I've also gotten to see Conner and sweet little Emelie. I still need to get in touch with Jenny and Shannon, but then I think I'll have seen all the important people on my list.

The kiddos are doing well. Shelby is preparing to go into first grade and Josh is going to be placed in a preschool closer to home.

Plans for today are to run errands (I have to get my stuff out of the office, as Stephen and Bonnie need to set up the nursery for the new baby that's due in Sept.) and watch some more movies (they are a lot less expense here, so I'm trying to take advantage of it).

Finally, I have to create a list of necessary experiences for Michael for this weekend. He comes in late Thurs. night, so we really only have Fri. and Sat. So far, I'm planning on taking him to Gruene for the concert with Amy, to La Margarita (my favorite Mexian place), Lone Star Cafe (he requested chicken-fried steak) possibly Alamo draft house, Iguana Grill on the lake, and Americus Diamond (well, ya never know, right?) besides that, he still has to meet my brother and he's going to help me get my last few things into boxes and send them to myself in NY.

Lots to do!!

Cat-I am so glad that you'll be in NY again! I look forward to getting to visit with you!!
