New Additions

Hello, hello, hello!!

I am still around...I just haven't had access to a computer in a while and have been really busy.

Grad school started the first week of Sep. School started the second week of Sep. So, now we're in full swing and I am bombarded with things to do.

About a week and a half ago, I got three new additions to my family:

First, is my new niece, Emma Bridget.

Second and third are, if you can believe it, kittens. They were born in a garage near Michael's father's house. Then, the momma came back and moved all but 2 of them to a new, unknown location. The neighbors took them in since they seemed abandoned but put out the word that they didn't know much about taking care of animals and wanted them to go to a good home. We stopped in "to see them" and a few hours later were unpacking them from the laundry basket we used to take them home in.

Raja (yes, like the tiger in Aladdin) is an orange tabby and Beckham is a little gray tabby. They are both boys and, according to the vet, appear to be about 8 weeks old. They are getting along okay with the big girls, and I have caught them all being totally cute a more than a couple of times already. (Pictures to follow as soon as I find the cord to my digital camera).

On this note, I have decided that now is not the best time for me to travel, (both due to the $350 vet bill and the fact that the boys are so little) and so my HS reunion is no longer on my calendar. I am still hoping to make a trip to Texas to get my stuff out of Conner's garage and clean up the other house. (It was recently broken into and Bonnie said there is very little stuff left that is worthwhile. However, I still feel compelled to see if I can sort through the junk and find any of the last things that I was looking for.)

I guess that's it for now. I am ready to go home and get some rest. Michael and I are doing fine and starting to negotiate what we are going to do about the holidays, because I know they will be here before you know it!

My reunion sucked too, but still very interesting weekend. Either way, glad to see you're back to the land of blogging! Hope the rest of your summer went well! Was great to see you last month! :)
