Moving forward
Well, in a way, the hard part is over. For those of you who live in Texas, if you drive past the Leander property, which for so long was known to us as "the other house" you will see a big 'ol
FOR SALE
sign.
The listing agent said he has never seen so much "activity" on a property. They've gotten 15 calls since Saturday. I'm really hoping that everything will be on its way soon and I can start finally putting myself in order.
School is okay. Well, really, it's not. The kids are rude and loud and have no care for their own education. What can I do?
Master's classes are okay. This time I'm being honest. I actually do enjoy my writing class and have been writing and sharing and revising and editing papers almost constantly. It makes me think that maybe I do have a book or 2 in me.
Michael and I are okay. I guess we could be better. (He would be upset if he knew I was confessing on the blog, but...) School is taking a toll on both of us. He is working 2 jobs (being a Dean and running a fitness center), setting up for a 3rd (coaching wrestling) and just applied for a 4th (teaching on Saturdays). Needless to say, we are both exhausted all the time and have started to kind of take it out on each other when we finally get a chance to be alone. I've also applied for the Saturday program, which will hopefully help stave off some of my financial woes until the house and car get sold.
The best part of everything right now is that the kitties are great! They are super cute and already such a part of the family. The Girls are treating them more like their own kittens and being quite motherly to them (including a smack in the head when warranted).
Can't wait to have better news. Much love to all.
